The Kelowna Citizens Safety Association (KCSA) is a multi-issue, grassroots organization formed in 2023 to engage directly with municipal, provincial, and federal governments and to advocate on behalf of local residents. With active branches in West Kelowna and Lake Country, we work across a range of project areas including government accountability, legislative review, development, planning, and public safety. Our role is to be a clear, informed voice for communities and to help shape decisions that affect neighbourhoods, families, and long-term community well being.
KCSA supports local autonomy and believes decisions about growth, development, and community priorities should be driven by communities, not imposed through top down Provincial direction. Legislative changes such as Bill 44 have made it illegal for the public to speak against most development proposals at City Council's, significantly reducing meaningful public participation. KCSA works to restore balance by engaging elected officials, educating residents, and advocating for transparent, lawful decision-making that prioritizes safety, livability, and the creation of stronger, more vibrant communities.
