The Kelowna Citizens Safety Association continues to expand its Legislative Watch initiative at the Municipal Provincial and Federal levels.

This initiative focuses on tracking and explaining laws that directly affect citizens, communities, and local decision-making.

*Plain language explanations of how Laws affect citizens and local governments

*Analysis of Municipal, Provincial and Federal legislation

*Practical guidance on what changes are needed to existing Laws and Acts

Key Focus:

* Freedom of expression and peaceful assembly

* Health professionals and regulatory overreach

* Emergency powers and centralized authority

* UNDRIP and DRIPA and their impact on land title and Municipal governance

* Local Government legislation and Municipal authority

* Access to information, FOI processes, and accountability mechanisms

Briefing notes, summaries, and letter templates are being developed to help citizens:

* Understand complex legislation

* Identify where laws create uncertainty or overreach

* Engage meaningfully with elected officials

* Participate effectively in advocacy campaigns
